
Ethnographic Study - DTDC Backend App Redesign
Overview
Conducted contextual enquiry in order to identify opportunity, understood the competitors, Identified breakdowns and possible solutions to make the backend application of DTDC more efficient and effective, by redesigning the Smart Track App used by DTDC courier service provider employees.
This project seeks to conduct a deep dive into the human-cantered experiences, perceptions, and interactions with DTDC's courier service. By using an ethnographic approach, we aim to uncover insights about the daily lives of users, their contexts, and the socio-cultural factors affecting their choices and reactions to DTDC's services.

Objective
1. To study the systems and models of different courier service providers and identify the competitors and service gaps. 2. To understand the usability engineering of a present service being used in an identified service gap. 3. To identify and propose a better solution for the existing courier services in order to make it more efficient and effective, by the means of ethnographic user research.
Problem Statement
DTDC is a leading brand in the courier and logistics domain. The Backend Smart Track App used by DTDC courier service provider employees is cluttered and complicated for the user group. It is a less explored area due to limited users and minimum demand for the application.
Solution
Identified an opportunity to redesign the Backend Smart Track App used by DTDC courier service provider employees, through the contextual study.
